Chichester Cathedral - This magnificent Cathedral has architecture spanning the centuries, ranging from original Norman features to the towering Victorian Spire and newly restored Lady Chapel. The Cathedral is both ancient and modern, where historic paintings and carvings sit alongside world famous 20th Century paintings, sculpture and glass by names such as Graham Sutherland, Marc Chagall, John Piper and Philip Jackson.
The Cathedral is open every day and all year with free entry. There are free guided tours and special trails for children. Many exhibitions, talks, lunchtime and evening concerts also take place, often free of charge, and a superb Cloisters Café and Shop, with garden, is just a few steps away. Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is both a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain's most popular boating waters. To visit the harbour in a sustainable way, see www.conservancy.co.uk for ideas of walks or try out the Salterns Way cycle route. The route starts in Chichester and winds through the countryside ending at the beach at West Wittering. Visitors can see the harbour from the water by joining one of the organised boat trips, these include the solar-powered catamaran Solar Heritage. Solar Heritage departs daily from Emsworth during the summer and from Itchenor at other times. In addition the Conservancy arranges a year-round programme of guided walks and activities with events for all ages and abilities. A number of public launching sites around the harbour make it accessible for everyone.

Selsey nestles between the South Downs and the sea, offering a wide range of sports and activities such as diving, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, golf, cycling and bird watching, not forgetting the life boat station. Petworth House and Park (just 15 miles from your holiday caravan) owned by the National Trust, holds the finest collection of JMW Turners masterpieces. See the breathtaking views of lakes and wandering deer amongst the ancient trees landscaped by Capability Brown.
Arundel Castle and Gardens. A restored medieval castle, damaged in the English Civil War and restored in the 18th and 19th century. It is the principles seat of the Norfolk family well worth a visit and only 12 miles from your holiday caravan.
